Senior Electronics Hardware Engineer

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Senior Electronics Hardware Engineer to join our engineering department here at our HQ in Huntingdon. Primary responsibility will include designing electronic hardware for Meridian’s range of audio products and understanding our business-to-business partners requirements to deliver consultancy and hardware design.

 

Main Duties

  • Circuit design and simulation
  • Schematic capture
  • PCB layout
  • Thermal design
  • EMC and safety regulation compliance
  • Creation and maintenance of design documentation & Software
  • Commissioning of Designed Electronic circuits including debug, measurement, signal integrity and design validation
  • Mentoring junior Hardware engineers

Skills & Qualifications

Degree or equivalent experience in a related field (electronic engineering, audio engineering, acoustics, physics, maths).

Required:

  • Proven track record of circuit and PCB design.
  • Experience of analogue, digital and power electronics.
  • Mixed signal design, including test and measurement.
  • Design for market compliance.

Automotive Audio Engineer

Exciting opportunity to join the engineering team at Meridian. A vacancy has arisen for an automotive engineer to join our automotive team and support the development of high-end automotive audio systems.

 

Main Duties

This will include support throughout the development process, from design of the systems through to the tuning of them. We are looking for someone with a good degree or equivalent experience in engineering, acoustics, computer science, physics or mathematics, plus 2-3 years of industry experience, preferably in an audio-related field.
Experience in any of the following areas is preferred:

  • Critical listening
  • Acoustics
  • Electroacoustics
  • Audio signal processing
  • Acoustic measurements (Prism dScope, Audio Precision, Soundcheck etc.)
  • Psychoacoustics
  • MATLAB

Additionally, experience in any of the following areas will be advantageous:

  • Automotive Acoustics
  • LspCAD and COMSOL Multiphysics highly favoured
  • Transducer design
  • C/C++ programming
  • Acoustic simulation (lumped element, finite element method, boundary element method etc.)

Graduate Automotive Audio Engineer

Meridian Audio Ltd have a vacancy for a graduate automotive engineer to join our automotive team and support the development of high-end automotive audio systems.

 

Main Duties

This will include support throughout the development process, from design of the systems through to the tuning of them as well as development and implementation of DSP software. We are looking for someone with a good degree or equivalent experience in engineering, acoustics, computer science, physics or mathematics.
Training will be given, however we are looking for someone who has had experience with C programming or similar, and additionally, experience in any of the following areas will be advantageous:

  • Audio signal processing

Digital Marketing Specialist

To be the driving force behind Meridian’s digital marketing activity. This role is responsible for Meridian’s websites and social media presence, including content creation and distribution, organic presence and advertising.

 

Main Duties

Manage company social media channels, including Facebook/LinkedIn/Twitter/Instagram/YouTube, etc.

  • Create and implement activity that meets business objectives and is aligned with marketing campaigns
  • Create assets and content for distribution on website, social media and other relevant channels
  • Monitor and measure activity performance and implement learnings from this into ongoing marketing activity plans
  • Monitor timelines and budgets
  • Keep abreast of industry standards and trends
  • Be the primary contact for social media agency activities

Manage company’s websites

  • Implement regular updates to websites using CMS
  • Propose website activity that is aligned to business objectives and marketing campaign activity
  • Monitor activity plans, timelines and budgets
  • Be the primary point of contact for website agency.

Be an integral member of the marketing team, including working with external agencies where appropriate by;

  • Participating actively in marketing campaign development
  • Provide additional support when required to other marketing activities such as at events and photoshoots

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Marketing qualification such as CIM, Bachelors Degree, or similar would be advantageous but not essential.
  • 3 to 4 years of digital marketing experience including social media.
  • Experience of working with suppliers and marketing/design agencies
  • Experience of website CMS
  • Managing website and social media agencies
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, CRM and CMS software and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent knowledge of all social media platforms.
