Leading smart home integration company Media Max has completed an extensive installation of the latest audio-visual technology, including a wide range of Meridian’s market-leading speakers, in the historic Russian Cottage, Surrey.

The Russian Cottage belonged to an offshoot of the Russian Royal Family, who shipped the entire cottage with them to England when escaping the Communist Revolution of 1917.

"When we heard Meridian’s speakers, we fell in love with them. The audio quality was absolutely incredible, it sounded so natural compared to other systems we’d heard."

Steve Peaks, Homeowner

Following the trip to Huntingdon, Media Max supplied a pair of Meridian’s Special Edition DSP7200 Loudspeakers for the main lounge, to provide left and right channel audio. The homeowners were delighted with the solution, and were soon keen to expand their Meridian portfolio.

The Peaks spend a large amount of time in the kitchen with their dogs watching TV, so it was essential that they could enjoy top-quality audio and video entertainment. As floor space was limited, Media Max needed to construct a false wall 190 mm deep to house the Samsung 42” TV and in-wall speakers. They required an audio solution that could fit into this restricted space, and provide the high quality audio performance the homeowners expected. Meridian’s DSP520 speakers were the perfect solution, as their slim profile meant that they could fit perfectly into the false wall, while providing phenomenal sound quality for the homeowners to enjoy their favourite TV shows and music.

"When we heard Meridian’s speakers, we fell in love with them. The audio quality was absolutely incredible, it sounded so natural compared to other systems we’d heard."
