The DSP7200.2HC provides full range playback in a horizontal centre-channel package.
Built by hand in the UK, the Meridian DSP7200.2HC is a Digital Active loudspeaker which uses Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology. This ingenious, yet elegant design means that the loudspeaker enclosure contains the loudspeaker’s advanced digital processing and precision analogue circuitry - including its powerful amplification. With all the features of the freestanding DSP7200.2, the DSP7200.2HC provides full range playback in a horizontal centre-channel package.
The DSP7200.2HC is designed for mounting on a shelf, under a large-screen TV, or behind an acoustically-transparent projection screen and is ideal for partnering with other Meridian freestanding or in-wall loudspeakers. Our unique Centre Elevation technology allows the DSP7200.2HC to be placed below the screen while having its sound image match perfectly with the on-screen action, creating an immersive movie experience.

DSP7200.2HC
Ideal for mounting on a shelf, under a large-screen TV, or behind an acoustically transparent projection screen and between other Meridian free-standing or in-wall loudspeakers. The DSP7200.2HC features unique Centre Elevation adjustment technology which raises the centre image for the perfect movie experience. Finished as standard in a piano lacquer black, the Performance range is also available in any 270 Meridian Select colours. Performance loudspeakers are available as floor standing or full range horizontal centre channel options for home audio or cinema applications.
Image Elevation psychoacoustically raises the sound image to the centre of a screen – where the listener would expect to hear it from.
Meridian Bespoke Signal Mapping utilises digital signal processing to apply tailored crossover filters that are designed specifically for each configuration of drive units within a loudspeaker.
Meridian E3 Bass uses specifically designed filters to expand, extend and enhance the low-frequency response of the loudspeaker.
FFA (Full Frequency Alignment) is a combination of digital filters and delays to correct the group-delay of a loudspeakers. It ensures that all frequencies reach the listener’s ear at the same time.
Meridian Pro-Active Thermal monitors the audio being sent to the mid-range drivers and tweeters and limits the overall volume of the loudspeaker if there is a risk of the drive units getting too hot.

Meridian Q-Sync deploys Meridian's multiple “First In, First Out” buffering system which minimises jitter, ensuring perfect timing and improved clarity.
True Time is Meridian's proprietary Apodising Filter that avoids pre-ringing and cleans up the effects of early filters, converting pre-echo to post-echo.
Meridian True Link is an encryption method for transferring high-definition digital audio over SPDIF connections. It allows secure movement of digital audio whilst ensuring that the SPDIF clock signal can be transmitted with minimum degradation.
The Performance Series
The Performance range of Meridian loudspeakers adopts the same cabinet design and many of the integrated technology principles featured in the Reference range.
The traditional setup – amplifiers driving passive loudspeakers – is inefficient, limiting sound quality. Meridian Performance loudspeakers contain a complete, matched audio system with efficient DSP crossovers, multiple DACs and driver-specific amplifiers, giving higher overall quality and less power use.
Meridian E3 bass uses specifically designed filters to expand, extend and enhance the low-frequency response of the loudspeaker.
Image focus corrects for off-centre listening, ensuring that the original soundstage is maintained
Meridian Pro-active Bass protects the bass drivers from over-excursion, ensuring maximum bass output without damaging the drive units.
